Welcome to Cragside Church of England Primary School's website. We hope that you find the information about our school useful. Cragside is a two form entry primary school situated in Cramlington, Northumberland. We have just over 370 pupils aged between 4 and 11. Our youngest children are in Reception and our oldest children are in Year 6. There is a nursery on our site but this is a private nursery with their own admissions arrangements. The majority of our children go to Cramlington Learning Village for the next step of their learning journey at secondary school.
At Cragside we seek to support high achievement for all our learners so that each child can SHINE BRIGHT. We are aspirational for all our children and seek to support them to be the very best that they can be. We encourage all our learners to be caring members of our school community, respecting each other and always doing their best. Our motto, "Let your Light Shine" is taken from St Matthew's Gospel and encourages everyone at Cragside to discover and use the gifts and talents that they all have been given and unique individuals. Our school enjoys celebrating the success and achievements of our pupils and has been recognised in achieving a number of nationally recognised awards which we are proud of.
Our curriculum is designed to engage pupils and inspire them to become creative and independent thinkers with a love of learning and a thirst for knowledge. We are blessed to have staff who run a wide programme of extra-curricular activities including arts, music, sport, science, technology and literacy and numeracy activities. We actively encourage pupils to get involved and contribute to the life of our school and to be active, respectful and caring members of the communities that they live in as well as thoughtful members of the global community.
I hope that you find the information on the website useful and helpful.
