Walk to School Week 2016

18th May 2016
This week we are taking part in Living Streets' Walk to School Week. Why walk? It’s fun and social - catch up with friends and family. It's healthy - a great form of exercise to keep us alert. It's the perfect time to practise road safety. It's eco-friendly. It's free! At the start of the week all of the children will receive an activity diary, and a wall chart will be stuck up in their classroom. The children will learn about the benefits of walking, and they will be encouraged to walk to school each day where this is possible. The children will add a footprint sticker to the wall chart each day they walk. At the end of the week all of the children will receive a reward magnet for taking part!
