Reception News

13th July 2018
A fantastically fun and busy week, this week! Reception children loved their end of year trip to Seven Stories Museum and the Ouseburn Farm in Newcastle. The children loved exploring texts and looking at all the exhibitions at Seven stories then handling and feeding lots of different animals at the Ouseburn farm. We met snakes, tortoises, cows and chickens and loved having stories read to us and completing activities linked to the stories. We were so impressed with all the children's super behaviour. We thought they were shining examples all day and were very proud of them. Thank you so much to all our parent helpers who accompanied us! This week both classes have had SUPER CLASS with an ice cream and ice lolly treat. Yum! This afternoon we enjoyed our Summer Celebration service and Garden Party. Lots of friends and family joined us to listen to our songs, viewed our books and joined us for a cream tea. Thank you to everyone who came along! Next week we are going to be busy preparing for the end of the school year. If any parents could possibly volunteer an afternoon etc. to help Reception staff with end of year tidying jobs, it would be very much appreciated. Please see a member of Reception staff. Thank you.
