In Year 3 this week the children have worked really hard on their end of year celebration assembly. After practicing all week, it was really great to see them all perform on Friday and a fabulous opportunity to hear about their favourite memories and achievements. All of our children shone and gave their best performances. Well done to our soloists who very bravely opened the performance. Thank you to all the parents and carers who were able to attend. We couldn't do it without your support. In maths the children have been using a range of the maths skills they learned in Year 3 to solve the mystery of the missing sports day equipment. It is great to see the children apply their skills to a problems solving context. The children have enjoyed reading more of Charlotte's Web and have continued to analyse the text. It was great to see all of the 'World' themed homework which the children have produced. They shared them with the rest of the class with confidence. Year 4 have been working really hard on rehearsing for our end of year celebration assembly. We're really proud of the effort they've put in at home to learn the words to our songs. In maths we have been using times table facts and thinking about finding fractions of numbers. In English we have been planning a tour of our school thinking about how best to describe our school for people who have not visited before
