Space Week

11th October 2019

I think it is safe to say this week has been a blast. The children have been channelling their inner engineer and scientist. Thank you so much to all the guests we have had, including scientists from Durham University and the CLV. It has been so much fun building and testing rockets, learning about planets, finding out how meteor craters are made and creating a huge, art attack inspired solar system on the playground. Space is awesome and it has really inspired the children's writing this week. It has been lovely to read the stories the children have written, there is so much joy and imagination in their creations. In 50 years’ time I hope we will be able to say that a child from Cragside has been involved in furthering our understanding of Space. I would also like to say thank you to Mrs Money for supplying me with rocket equipment for the children to use and experiments to kick this week off with a bang on Monday!
