Lunar New Year

31st January 2020

Thank you to Mrs Cowie who organised for our Cragside Chinese dragon to take part in the Newcastle Lunar New Year celebrations which were held on Sunday. Well done to all our ‘dragon dance’ children and their families who helped with the parade. It was lovely to see our school immersed in Newcastle’s celebration of the Lunar New Year. The parade was a great success and an enriching, cultural experience for the children! Thank you very much to all the parents who came to help with this. We really appreciate you helping us on Sunday at the fantastic parade.
A big thank you to Mrs Brunskill who came into 3UC this week to bake with the class. The children absolutely loved making rat shaped cookies with you this week in school. It also added to our Chinese New Year celebrations, as we talked about the year of the rat.
Thank you very much to Mrs Catling who was in school this week to bake with our Reception children and comes in each week to bake with them. The children love making all their different baked creations!
